Eventi On Day
Che si tratti di una cena speciale, un party di compleanno, un cooking show o qualsiasi altro evento, lo Chef visita la location in anticipo per studiare tutti i dettagli necessari alla perfetta organizzazione.
Il giorno dell’evento il nostro Team organizza il set up dell’area party e cucinerà per gli ospiti.
In base alle preferenze e caratteristiche specifiche richieste, ti presenteremo una short-list di candidati Chef.

We just want to be sure that who represents us with the client (YOU) has clear in mind our model and is perfectly able to apply it.
So, how does our process works?
The training is individual, focused on the specific mission because we consider each customer like a single story.
That’s why we prefer to meet you a few days before to start, doing the training close to the beginning of the mission assigned.
The training is not always the same but varies depending on the complexity of the mission, on the type of service required, the client’s profile and much more.
In any case, the minimum duration is one day.
Where does it take place?
Whenever logistics allow it, the training takes place in our offices, in Milan or in London.
In other cases, the training is done in the most convenient and accessible area for the Chef or closer to the location where we will serve the client. In any case, our staff will agree with you on advance suitable date and location.
What is training?
It is divided into two macro topics:
Knowledge and application of our service model. Your role and your responsibilities, what the customer expects from our service, the behaviour to be adopted in every circumstance, the attitude that our ideal Chef must possess, the policies to follow in order to collaborate with our agency
Share and information related to the mission. As already anticipated, once we receive the request from the customer, we contact him to collect information on the type of service he has in his mind, menu preferences and anything else useful for the best organization of the service.
During the training, we will share with you all the information collected, analyze it in detail and together we define the best strategy for managing the mission.

The second step involves the creation of a complete menu and the shopping list you need to make it happen
The third and last step consists in the moment when we will finally taste your dishes. Our staff will always agree in advance with you the most suitable date and location for both.
As a part of CFY Team you provide a bespoke service, designed on request, according to the client’s needs.

Create and present menus for approval each day unless otherwise stated by client. Focus on children’s needs, if there are.
Food provisioning and selection suppliers to ensure the best quality of ingredients. Be carefully and follow the client’s budget expectations.
Keep the kitchen and your operating areas ( fridge/freezer and dry storage) spotlessly clean and tidy, in every moment.
Depends on how many guests and the type of service, set the table and serve food for up to 8 guests
Budget Control compliance with the guidelines received by the
client: expenses, invoices, sharing and storing documents.
Coordination and conformity with the client’s household staff

Menu and service
As soon as possible you have to agree with the client about the timesheet /day: what time meals should be served, approximate number of guests for each and so on. This is extremely important for you to schedule your activities properly.
You know a lot about their needs but it’s a good policy re-check directly with them as some clients know and ask for what they want to eat others will be asking to you for suggestion.

Schedule to check the expenses
Schedule a day of the week the client would like check costs with you.
Make sure you keep all receipts/invoices for everything you buy.
Store and present the expenses/receipt/invoices to the client in an ordered and organized manner.

You may be are requested provide to help setting the table and serving food but it depends on how many guests the chef is cooking for and how formal the client want the experience to be. As a general guide line:
for informal dining you can help to set the table and serve the food for up to approximately 8 guests.
for more formal dining and more than 8 guests we recommend to client additional service staff to help lay the table, serve and clean.
You are expected to keep the kitchen and your operation area deep clean and tide up after every service, this includes all cooking equipment and work surfaces.
Please pay particular attention to use the appropriate materials and products so as not to damage or scratch any surfaces.
Unless otherwise specified you wear
Our uniform: 2 clean white chefs jacket and 2 aprons branded CHEF FOR YOU, it’s mandatory to have a set of clean, white chef’s uniform for all the services
Your Black trousers and black cover shoes
If you have long hair, ensure it is tied back under a hat.
Remove all jewellery before handling food
No smoking and no alcohol consumption under no circumstance, includes during your break.
Be on time!
Arrive on time and serve meals on time. Always allow extra time to get to work avoiding delays.
If you are running late call us immediately so we can contact the client.
If you are unable to do your job, let us know as soon as possible so that we can replace you on time.
Before you start the job thoroughly inspect the kitchen and where there are already breakages, scratches, burn marks or stains please ensure you make us aware before you start, document it with photographs and send to us in writing.
Make sure the correct sinks are used for washing equipment, food or hands
Ensure all food is covered and labelled.
Make sure all kitchen equipment are turned off when you have finished cooking
Make sure all storages are in perfect conditions, closed properly and locked if requested.
Always check for the correct Freezer and Fridge temperature
Report immediately any equipment defect and do not try to repair it.
Wear your apron only when you are cooking
You will bring your own knives and little specific equipment. If and when appropriate , you reach the location one day before to start to make a kind of inventory of the specific equipment you need to carry on your work properly.
You must have your own professional indemnity and medical insurance.

RE-BOOK A CHEF
Please, be aware that the clients enter into a contract with us, so CHEF FOR YOU is the spokesperson between client and chefs. Any extension of the assignment or re-booking for the same chef will be agreed between the client and our agency.
